‘Always a Little Further’
‘Ascension’ Hereford Cathedral – In 2017 the sculptor John Maine RA was working on his memorial for the SAS in Hereford Cathedral. His 10 metre high piece is situated in the nave of the Cathedral and incorporates a stained glass window and sculptural stone pieces. The floor slab is of Belgian Black marble, and I was asked to cut the letters ‘ALWAYS A LITTLE FURTHER’, designed by Nicholas Sloan: and to carve the SAS badge designed by John Maine.
